A Sauna good year draws to a close
As the embers of 2025 die down it gives us time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next
At a time when there seems to be so much bad news around, it’s easy to forget the good stuff. Wellbeing has been big news again this year, physical fitness, microbiome, gut health and of course mental health awareness have all seen growth as we look for ways to keep fit and healthy. As part of a healthy lifestyle many people are using the heat of the sauna and the contrast of the cold plunge to reset.
The benefits of sauna are becoming more widely acknowledged now as more and more studies indicate the returns of regular sauna use. From improved circulation, lower risk of heart disease, detoxification, improved skin health, boosted immune system, stress reduction, better sleep …..I could go on, and I do, to anyone who listen. We feel very lucky to be a part of this growing community and have had a wonderful year meeting and working so many people, companies and sauna enthusiasts.
Our last sauna delivery of the year was from Norfolk down to Devon, to https://www.wemburywildsauna.co.uk who will be opening their doors on New year’s Eve. Located at https://churchwoodvalley.com/ the horsebox sauna is sited by the beautiful valley floor with the large picture windows giving views over the field and stream below with the lovely woodland as a backdrop. Designed to blend seamlessly into its new environment the dark green paintwork is complimented beautifully by the stunning fine sawn thermo pine cladding courtesy of https://millworks.co.uk/
Opening the glass door leads into the sumptuous dark brown thermo aspen cladding and benches, complimented by the recessed lighting for a truly relaxing ambiance, the glow of the wood fired Narvi 16 stove add to the quality feel of this trailer. We look forward to watching the Wembury story develop.
While reflecting on the year another couple of notable deliveries came to mind. https://www.happisauna.co.uk was another beautiful crafted horse box conversion that has been thriving in the Chilterns with a growing community of users. Complimenting the thermo aspen interior is the split slate stove surround and feature wall which were client choices to make their sauna individual and bespoke. We love to build on your ideas to create a truly personal and unique space.
One of the longest deliveries was to Loch Ard, Stirling. This time a flat bed trailer conversion for https://sweatandsoaksauna.co.uk , the rectangular space allowed us to design benches of sufficient width and height to accommodate group and individual whisking rituals. Also sporting a Himalayan salt panel the interior of this mobile sauna has the look of a high end spa. A large Harvia stove with 200kg of olivine diabase stones gives a beautiful loyly for all to enjoy. Set just a few metres away from Loch Ard the cedar clad trailer nestles in this perfect setting which is ideal for a natural cool down between rounds in the finest Scottish scenery.
Looking forward to 2026 we are designing a new range of sauna cabins, for the homeowner, 2/3 4/6 and 6/8/10 seater options will be available, even the smallest gardens can accommodate a beautiful loyly-sauna to be proud of. Built with the same passion and exacting standards as our commercial saunas these will offer great value, built to last a life time, very well insulated unlike many of the cheaper imports available now, with a design allowing some owner input in terms of specification and look. We have also added a couple of sauna tents for rental next year, so if you would just like to try a sauna for a while, or are having a party, or just can’t wait until your cabin is delivered it is the perfect option.
If you are thinking of a sauna cabin, trailer or sauna in the bathroom, or would just like to chat about all things sauna, why not get in touch.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year from Andy and the team.
